The MDKeeper, from Tadiran Spectralink, is worn like a watch and integrates various medical sensors, a Siemens GSM/GPRS radio module, and a built-in cellular speakerphone and processing unit to measure and transmit data to caregivers.

A wristwatch that monitors a recovering cardiac patient´s vital signs and sends them to their doctor via the cellphone network will be launched early in 2006. The aim is to allow software at the surgery to automatically work out if the patient needs additional drugs. If so, a text message tells them what to take. Called MD Keeper, the watch has been developed by Tadiran Spectralink of Israel.
